Who I am:
I have 14+ years of experience working in video games. I'm a skilled and conciencious Art Director that strives for the most elegant, engaging and memorable visuals possible within the scope.
I am very project concious and prioritize thorough cross discipline communication, negociating priorities and scope among the leads, and coordinating how to get everything to flatter the right point of interest.
I'm the kind of art director that leads through example. I've been very fortunate to have worked on fantastic projects, accumulating experience and best practices from the top shelf of the industry. I've honed my skills in every step of the pipeline. From 2D concept art to final in-game animated asset. Thanks to this, I can more effectively lead teams at the planning level, and from within the trenches. I guide priorities from broad to specific, vetted "must-have" assets through to polish. I adapt to each dicipline's micro- culture and needs to get the richest, most elegant look and feel in the shortest time.
I believe strongly in an aproach that cultivates and grows the team, apreciating the needs of the company and the artists alike.
Whatever the budgetary or technological constraints, I can boil down workload, detail density and lead a team to make elegant assets for any type of game. Gimme some paper, some ketchup n' we'll find a way to art up a game with style.
What I've done:
I work quickly and efficiently on Max, Maya, Photoshop, Zbrush and Bodypaint with a strong sense of anatomy, proportions, color, appeal and fine detail, even on lower resolution textures.
