Best Kid-Friendly/All-Ages MMO of 2009: Tens of thousands of votes were logged, and the winners in some categories came down to fewer than 100 votes, including the competition for the coveted title of “Best MMO of 2009,” which was decided by just 68 votes. Blizzard’s World of Warcraft eked out a narrow win over Turbine’s Dungeons & Dragons Online and was narrowly followed by KingsIsle Entertainment’s Wizard101 and NCSoft’s Aion.

Main Character Artist

From 2D concept to in-game 3D completion. All parts of the characters in this gallery are modular and seamlessly customizeable through mix and match. The texture shading has painted broad volume shapes to make the game look more advanced in tech than it actually was. I contributed the pipeline method for the player character art system and a large percentage of the characters that shipped with the game. Many NPCs and monsters. {Read more}



  • Modular, minimal specific modeling, UVs, Texturing for an MMO with a strict PC compatibility standard.


  • Creation of concept art for character sets spanning different cultures and genders.


  • Creation of modular, customizable human characters, armor and clothes.


  • Creation of monsters of human and giant scale.


  • Creation of massive “point of interest” sculptures for environments.


  • Training and Mentorship for the Character team in best practices, artistry and the use of Photoshop, Bodypaint and 3DMax.


  • Developed a new “volume based” painting philosophy and procedure to make costumes look more NextGen than they actually were.


  • Pipeline research and implementation for improved aesthetic results and faster productivity.


  • Evaluation of production risks, and anticipation of potential problems.


  • Creation of Pipelines, export tools and training materials to automate lengthy export procedures that saved the character team a significant amount of schedule time while making thousands of color and detail variations for character customization.


  • It was a lead role, but the company had no titles or distinctions in the art department.
